Hi again! It’s day 2 of the March Meet the Maker challenge (you can find more info here)
Today’s prompt is “Where” Thanks for checking in again! I am currently in Denver and have lived here for over half my life at this point. I really can’t imagine living anywhere else anymore. I’m so used to the weather and the bright blue sky — all the sunshine! They say we have 300 days of sunshine here! It seems like it’s true to me.
I wanted to share some fun photos from Colorado. The first picture was taken near the house where I lived during my high school years. I made a pinhole camera, it was really cool and I suggest you make one, so much fun!
This was the Colorado/Utah border. The sign is distorted cause we were driving.
You can’t be in Colorado without going to the mountains. It is such a great experience to stand on a mountaintop. You’re never too far from a beautiful nature spot when you’re in Denver.
This next one is cool because it’s a vintage post card with an aerial photograph of Lowry Air Force Base.
The base was eventually closed and the Lowry neighborhood was created! I used to work in the area and it was really cool to walk in that space. A lot of the buildings are still there and were converted into living areas, a school, restaurants, a museum, etc. There’s a really cute chapel there too, that’s been around since the base was there.
These are a few random pinhole shots of downtown Denver.
Where are you currently? Have you ever visited Denver. Leave me a comment and let me know!
I enjoy the report
It works very well for me
