How did I start? (It’s day 3 of #marchmeetthemaker) ๐ค
There’s 2 parts to this story!
I’ve always created art in one form or another, but I first really tried watercolor my freshman year of HS. I enjoyed how wild it was and how easy it was to correct mistakes if I made them. But I stopped for several years, mostly because I didn’t have the tools. I picked them up once I was almost out of college and I had a job at a grocery store. (Side note: that job made me pick up smoking I don’t smoke anymore tho)
This part is a little dumb, but I had met a cute guy who seemed to have similar interests in art… so I wanted to impress him and I used my watercolors!
๐ he kind of became a muse of sorts
and that’s when I really started to develop my own style with watercolor. (he’s now my husband
) Art was always a way to channel my thoughts and feelings I wasn’t able to share with people. The chaotic nature of watercolor appealed to me so much because I feel life is chaotic but so so beautiful.
.
Nature is a huge source of inspiration, again it’s both chaotic and beautiful. That’s how I became interested in gems and crystals. I started collecting turquoise jewelry, my favorite! And eventually it grew into what we have now.

I really enjoy being able to share some of the things I love the most with all of you! And I’m so happy you enjoy it too ๐ค
Feel free to comment anything about yourself! How did you get into crystal collecting? Any hobbies you’d like to share?
